Prof. Dr. Karl Leo
Prof. Dr. Karl Leo got his M.S. in Physics from the University of Freiburg, Germany and his PhD. in Physics from the University of Stuttgart. After that he worked for two years at the AT&T Bell Labs. Since 1993 he is Professor for Optoelectronic at the Technical University of Dresden. From 2001 to 2013 he has been Director at Fraunhofer IPMS and head of COMEDD, as well. During these years he founded Novaled GmbH, Heliatek GmbH and four other companies around OLED / photonics. He has been further one of the initiators of the Organic Electronics Saxony.
Dr.-Ing. Dirk Behrens
Dr. Behrens got his B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Leibniz University in Hannover, Germany, his B.S. in Economics from University in Hagen, Germany, and his PhD. In Electrical Engineering from Leibniz University of Hannover, Germany. He has been working in the semiconductor business since 1991. During these years held different positions in research and development, in strategic marketing and business development as well as in sales & marketing at Infineon (former Siemens Microelectronics), ATI (acquired by AMD), ZMDI (acquired by IDT) and Micronas (acquired by TDK). His latest assignments have been on the executive board of ZMDI, where he has been responsible for worldwide Marketing and in the board of Micronas AG, a Swiss based sensor manufacturer, where he headed the world-wide Automotive Sensor business.
